I have a passion for helping young people in maximizing their potential and fully utilizing their talents and capabilities. I am a former student teacher who quit because I felt the educational system in the US failed many students. I believe there are no bad students, only bad teachers. I am very patient and able to diagnose the needs of each student under my care. In addition to the ability to explain things clearly, I can sense the proper strategy for reaching each of my students. I have a PhD in chemistry from UC Berkeley under the tutelage of the late Nobel laureate Glenn Seaborg. In addition to my diverse background as a research and development chemist, quality control analytical chemist, and technical, scientific, and regulatory writer, I have experience in teaching a senior level chemistry class at Salve Regina University and am currently a part-time chemistry instructor at Cal State East Bay. My classes as a teaching assistant at Berkeley consistently scored above the section average. I would be most happy to assist you or your child in developing your potential, especially as it applies to the real world.
